Pick of the Crop Dance

HANSEL AND GRETEL A fresh, new full-length modern ballet by Pick of the Crop Dance Choreographed by Elaine Gardner Music by Curt Steinzor A sensitive interpretation of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel blends whimsical choreography and an ingenious score with gorgeous sets, exquisite costumes, and evocative lighting. The parts of mice, moths, lollipops, candy canes, gingerbread cookies and wood fairies will be danced by up to 35 young dancers from your community. Children with motivation and commitment - from five-year olds through technically accomplished teens - will be integral to the production. A children's rehearsal director from your community will be personally trained by Pick of the Crop artists. Guidance in promoting and holding auditions is also available. Hansel and Gretel is a perfect way to engender community involvement. A community-wide poster illustration contest with prizes donated by local businesses... Halloween witch party... gingerbread cookie sale - your imagination is your guide!
