Technical Requirements
- "Caravan of Dreams" If any of the below mentioned
technical specifications cannot be met by the sponsoring theater space, please
advise UMO Ensemble in advance of their arrival and adjustments will be made.
Thanks. Lighting: UMO Ensemble will provide the
theater with the show's light plot in advance of arrival, to be gel'd and hung
by the first technical rehearsal. Instrument Focus and a Cue to Cue rehearsal
should be scheduled at least one day prior to the opening performance. Set
Requirements: The show requires a minimum stage dimension
of 30'x40', with at least 4' of wing space, and a lit crossover. Stage surface
should be splinter-free and preferably sprung. Two vocal microphones with boom
stands are also needed. Rigging: Six
(6) trapeze rigging points are required to support a minimum of 5OOlbs live weight.
ALL RIGGING POINTS MUST BE CHECKED AND APPROVED BY UMO ENSEMBLE AND/OR A STRUCTURAL
ENGINEER. UMO will provide all hardware for trapeze. Theater
should have, or provide: - Sound system, w/ cassette deck; Sound
board operator; Light board operator; Two or more stage hands during load-in and
load-out; House manager.
- Theater must have adequate dressing room space and/or
make-up room large enough for the company, with sinks and/or showers, and be easily
accessible to performers and back stage.
- Theater must provide adequate rehearsal
space if the stage is not available prior to show(s)
- A minimum of two days
prior to the opening performance in which to prepare the technical specifications
for the show.
Meals: Sponsor should provide
vegetarian meals at least four (4) hours prior to show time to cast and stage
manager, and drinking water in dressing rooms. Misc.:
Sponsors are requested to refrain from any type of introduction prior to UMO's
performance, as well as post-show discussions, unless arranged with the Ensemble.
No opening sets or acts should be scheduled without consulting the Ensemble. Please
make the theater as accessible to people of differing physical abilities as possible. Two
tables should be provided for sales of concessions by the Ensemble in the theater
lobby with a theater staff or volunteer before the show and during intermission. |
